On March 28, the annual Partners in Education Dinner celebrated another great season!
Delaware County high school students who took part in the 2006/2007 season of Delco Hi-Q will be honored at the third annual “Partners in Education Celebration” set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.
Again this year, the county’s premier academic recognition event is presented by the Foundation of the Delaware County Chamber and the Delaware County Intermediate Unit. Primary dinner sponsor is Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
Veteran Philadelphia actor and Delco Hi-Q Quizmaster, Tom McCarthy will host this year’s event. Fans know Mr. McCarthy not only by his twenty-nine seasons with Delco Hi-Q but through his many appearances in movies, television, and on the stage.
The 2006-2007 All Delco Hi-Q Team, comprised of a member from each of 21 teams from public, private and parochial schools that participated in Delco Hi-Q, and this year’s Delco Hi-Q Hall of Honor inductees will be honored.
Cash awards of $3,000, $2,500, and $2,000 will be presented to the first, second and third place winning teams.
All Hi-Q participants will attend this event free of charge through the generosity of our corporate donors. Additional reservations are available at $30 per person through the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce at 610-565-3677.
