April 29, 2010 -- Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation pre
sents the 2010 Partners in Learning Celebration, the region’s Premier Education Recognition Event. During this annual event, FMFCU Foundation, along with community members and local business, present the Delaware County Excellence in Teaching awards, honor the Delco Hi-Q students and recognize other individuals for their achievements in the field of education.
Among those honored at the events are:
- Hi-Q students from participating Delaware County high schools
- Nineteen County Teachers
- 2010 Financial Literacy Advocate
- Scholarship Recipients
- Delco Hi-Q Hall of Honor Inductees
- Student Operated Branch Employees from Interboro, Penn Wood, Springfield, Strath Haven and Upper Darby High Schools.

At the celebration Delaware County’s outstanding teachers and students will receive a well-deserved recognition during the Partners in Learning Celebration. Nineteen exceptional and dedicated teachers in the County’s public and non-public schools will receive the Excellence in Teaching award, which is awarded annually.
Additionally, each Delco Hi-Q team will be recognized for its participation in 62nd competition. The first, second, and third place teams will be awarded prizes for their schools. The top-scoring team also wins the right to keep the Donna Zerby trophy at its school for a year.
The event will also include the induction of worthy individ

uals into the Delco Hi-Q Hall of Honor. Chosen by nominations, previous Hall of Honor inductees include past participants, as well as supporters of the scholarly quiz competition that has been a Delaware County tradition since 1948. In addition five high school seniors will be recognized as the winners of the 2010 John D. Unangst Scholarship, an award that honors FMFCU President/CEO and FMFCU Foundation President John D. Unangst.
